Privacy Policy
Last updated October 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Caliche Tech LLC ("Caliche Tech," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the website at caliche.tech (the "Site"), including when you submit our contact form or otherwise communicate with us through the Site.
This Policy applies only to the Site. It does not apply to information we process on behalf of a client under a written agreement; that information is governed by the applicable agreement. It also does not apply to third-party websites or services that the Site links to.
By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Site or submit information through it.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide to us
When you submit the contact form, we collect:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your company name, if you choose to provide it; and
- the contents of your message.
We also record the date and time of your submission. If you continue the conversation with us, we keep that correspondence and any information you choose to share while we discuss a potential engagement.
Please do not include sensitive information in the contact form (see Section 8).
1.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, certain technical information is processed automatically by the service providers that host, deliver, secure, and measure the Site. This may include:
- your IP address;
- browser type and version, operating system, and device type;
- the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time of each request; and
- security, performance, and diagnostic information, such as error logs and signals used to detect and block malicious traffic.
Website analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used (for example, which pages are visited and how quickly they load). According to Cloudflare, this service does not use cookies, does not use local storage for tracking, and does not fingerprint visitors. We use these statistics only in aggregate and do not use them to identify you.
1.3 Information stored on your device
The Site saves two small items in your browser's local storage: your light or dark display preference, so the Site remembers it on your next visit; and, if you submit the contact form, the times of your recent submissions, which the Site uses on your device to limit repeated submissions. These items stay on your device, are not sent to us, and are not used to track you. You can remove them at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
The Site does not set cookies.
2. How we use information
We use personal information only as reasonably necessary and proportionate for the following purposes:
- to receive, review, and respond to your inquiry;
- to evaluate and scope a potential engagement and to communicate with you about it;
- to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Site;
- to protect the Site and our systems, including by detecting and preventing spam, fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- to keep appropriate business records; and
- to comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We will not use personal information collected through the Site for purposes that are materially different from those described here without providing notice and, where required by law, obtaining your consent.
Submitting the contact form does not create a client, attorney-client, fiduciary, or other relationship, and does not obligate either party to enter into an engagement.
3. Artificial intelligence and automated decision-making
We do not use personal information collected through the Site to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
We may use AI-enabled productivity tools provided by our service providers (for example, email, scheduling, or document tools) to help us organize, summarize, and respond to inquiries. When we do, we use providers that commit not to use our data to train their models, and the information remains subject to this Policy.
We do not use personal information collected through the Site to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
4. How we disclose information
We do not sell personal information. We do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it for targeted advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable state privacy laws.
We disclose personal information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We use service providers that process information on our behalf to host, deliver, secure, store, and measure the Site, including Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, content delivery, security, and web analytics) and Supabase, Inc. (database storage for contact-form submissions). These providers may use the information only to provide services to us and as permitted by their agreements with us and applicable law.
- Professional advisers. We may disclose information to our lawyers, accountants, insurers, and other professional advisers, subject to duties of confidentiality, where reasonably necessary.
- Legal requirements and protection. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Caliche Tech, our clients, Site visitors, or others.
- Business transactions. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business or assets, personal information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law. We will take reasonable steps to require the recipient to honor this Policy.
- With your direction or consent. We may disclose information when you ask us to or otherwise consent.
5. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
As a general rule, if an inquiry does not lead to an engagement, we delete or de-identify the contact-form submission and related correspondence within 24 months after our last communication with you. If an inquiry leads to an engagement, the information becomes part of our client records and is retained in accordance with the applicable agreement and our record-keeping obligations. Technical logs held by our service providers are retained according to their own retention schedules.
We may retain information for longer where necessary to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or comply with legal obligations. Deleted information may persist for a limited period in backup systems until it is overwritten in the ordinary course.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure, appropriate to the nature of the information. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all Site traffic, access controls that prevent the public from reading contact-form submissions, and security headers that restrict which code the Site's pages are allowed to run.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and others as required by applicable law.
7. Your privacy rights and choices
7.1 Rights you may have
Depending on where you live, and subject to exceptions under applicable law, you may have the right to:
- confirm whether we process your personal information;
- access your personal information;
- correct inaccuracies in your personal information;
- delete your personal information;
- obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable format; and
- opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
As described above, we do not sell personal information, engage in targeted advertising, or conduct that kind of profiling.
Some privacy laws apply only to businesses that meet certain thresholds. Whether or not a particular law applies to us, we will consider in good faith any request to access, correct, or delete personal information collected through the Site.
7.2 How to make a request
To make a request, email us at admin@caliche.tech, or submit the contact form on our home page with "Privacy Request" at the start of your message. Please describe your request and do not include sensitive information.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will use the information you provide in your request only for verification and to respond. You may use an authorized agent to make a request where permitted by law; we may require the agent to provide proof of authorization and may require you to verify your identity directly with us.
We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising a privacy right.
7.3 Appeals
If we decline to take action on your request, you may appeal by contacting us as described in Section 7.2 with "Privacy Appeal" at the start of your message and explaining why you believe our decision should be reconsidered. We will respond to your appeal in writing within the time required by applicable law, including an explanation of our decision. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the attorney general or other privacy regulator in your state.
7.4 Browser signals
Because we do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or engage in targeted advertising, browser privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control and "Do Not Track" do not change how the Site processes information.
8. Sensitive information
The contact form is intended for an initial business inquiry only. Please do not submit sensitive personal information, including Social Security or other government identification numbers, financial account or payment card numbers, passwords or other credentials, health or medical information, biometric or genetic data, precise geolocation, or information about racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or citizenship or immigration status. Please also do not submit confidential business information, trade secrets, source code, or production data. If you need to share information of that kind, we will arrange an appropriate method once an engagement is in place.
If sensitive information is submitted to us through the Site, we will take reasonable steps to delete it unless we are required to retain it.
9. Children
The Site is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 years of age. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through the Site, please contact us as described in Section 7.2, and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
10. Where information is processed
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by our service providers for such transfers.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal information on the following legal bases: to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (when you ask us about potential work); our legitimate interests in responding to inquiries, operating and securing the Site, and understanding Site usage in aggregate, which are not overridden by your interests and rights; and compliance with legal obligations. You may have additional rights under the laws of those regions, including the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Third-party links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and this Policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Site, our service providers, or applicable law. When we do, we will post the updated Policy on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice as appropriate, such as a notice on the Site. Changes apply prospectively from the date they are posted unless applicable law requires otherwise.
